Our History

Chad and Jennifer Schuchert built the Schuchert Funeral Home in 1999 to serve the Lakes area. In 2014, they sold the funeral home and crematory to Jayme and Melissa Lentz.  When Chad and Jennifer moved to California in June 2016, Korey and Kerri Robinson partnered with Jayme and Melissa as owners of Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home and Crematory.  On September 20, 2022, Korey and Kerri Robinson became the sole owners of the funeral home and renamed it to the Robinson Funeral Home.  Our funeral directors and staff have been helping families at one of the most difficult times in their lives.   • Korey Robinson

    Korey Robinson, Owner / Funeral Director

    Korey L. Robinson was raised in Manchester, IA where he began working in the funeral business at the age of 16 with the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home. He graduated from West Delaware High School in 1997. After graduation he attended Kirkwood Community College and continued to work for the Murdoch Funeral Homes in Cedar Rapids, IA and Marion, IA for 2 years. He graduated with an Applied Science Degree and Applied Mortuary Science Degree in 2000 from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL. He served his apprenticeship in Clarinda, IA. In 2001 he joined the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton, IA. In January of 2006, Korey joined Meyer Brothers Funeral Home in Sioux City, IA. On September 1, 2016, Korey and his wife Kerri became partners and co-owners of the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home. On September 20, 2022, Korey and Kerri purchased the funeral in full from Jayme and Melissa Lentz and renamed the funeral home to Robinson Funeral Home. Korey is a licensed Funeral Director in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and South Dakota.He married Kerri Brown of Clarinda, IA in April of 2003. They have three boys, Spencer, Tyson and Jasper. Korey is a member the Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spirit Lake where he is a member of the Knights of Columbus and board member of the St. Mary's Church Finance Committee, board member of the Spirit Lake Chamber, and board member of the Spirit Lake Booster Club. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and camping with the family, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas City Chiefs and Kanas City Royals.
