Sandra graduated from Okoboji High School in 1990 and Buena Vista University in 1994. She worked as a mortgage broker for Met-Life in Omaha, Nebraska. Sandra enjoyed spending her spare time boating, water skiing, bowling and spending time with her children.

Sandra is survived by her three children, Autumn, Michael and Cody Petska of Milford; her father, Glenn Somers of Milford; a sister, Shari Nichols, and her husband, Jeff, of Spirit Lake; a brother, Michael Somers, and his wife, Hollie, of Spirit Lake; her fiancé, Sean Post of Okoboji; a niece, that was like a daughter, Corrina Schroeder of Blair, Nebraska; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother; and a nephew, Jon.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00A.M. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake.
