Rose graduated from Okoboji High School in 1940. She was united in marriage to Lowell Anderson on November 15, 1943, in Jackson, Minnesota. Lowell passed away on October 28, 2000. Rose worked as a nurses aid at St. Lukes Nursing Home in Spencer and babysat out of her home for many years.
Rose was a member of the First Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School, was active in the church circle and quilted. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, walking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her two sons, Loran Anderson, and his wife, Denise, of Ocheyedan, and Leo Anderson, and his wife, Arlene, of Hartley; Dan Robinson of Longview, Texas; a sister, Marie Welle, and her husband, Bud, of Milford; two brothers, Freeman Knudtson, and his wife, Edna Mae, of Spencer, and Orville Knudtson of Yuma, Arizona; a sisters-in-law, Geneva Knudtson of Milford, Wilma Anderson of Milford, and Jane Anderson of Kansas; brothers-in-law, Jim (Eyleen) Anderson of Milford, and Pier (Lois) Anderson of Park Ridge, Illinois; a son-in-law, seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her step-mother, Rose; a daughter, Mary Robinson; a brother, Ken Knudtson; a sister, Greta Dannatt; seven brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30A.M. Tuesday, June 1st, at the First Lutheran Church in Milford. Burial will be at the Little Sioux Cemetery at 1:00P.M. Tuesday.
