Lisa Ann Loreth

Lisa Loreth, 53, of Milford passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Spencer Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 24 at 10:00 AM at the Spirit Lake United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Lisa Ann Loreth was born September 15, 1969, in Mason City, Iowa to William and Alta May (Scarrow) Held. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1987. After high school she attended IMMC School of Radiology and graduated in 1989. After graduating from college Lisa worked as a Radiology Technologist at IMMC, Des Moines Orthopedic Surgeons, St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, MN and Spencer Hospital. Lisa was united in marriage to Chad Loreth on April 15, 2000. She loved her family and loved supporting Kaylee in dance and Cameron in wrestling and Cross Country and attended as many of their activities as she could. When she wasn’t cheering on her children Lisa would be cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones. Lisa enjoyed fishing, boating, playing volleyball, and was an avid traveler. She also loved reading and being part of book club with some of her closest friends. Lisa was also a member of the Bedell Family YMCA where she made many friends. She enjoyed traveling to numerous states and seeing new places. She had an infectious smile and laugh that left an impression on everyone. Her courage in battling brain cancer is an inspiration to all of us that knew her. She lived each day to the fullest and faced her diagnoses head on. She will be greatly missed by many. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Chad Loreth of Milford, IA; Son Cameron (Liz) Arnold of Spirit Lake, IA; Daughter Kaylee (Nick) Rivera of Ankeny, IA; Brothers Greg (Patty) Held of Mason City, IA and Eric (Leslie) Held of Indianola, IA; Mother and Father-in-Law Gene and Barb Loreth of Sioux City, IA; Sister-in-law Heather Loreth of Lawton, IA; Brother-in-law Kyle (Ali) Loreth of Rhinelander, WI; along with nieces, nephews, and many friends. Lisa is preceded in death by her parents William and Alta May Held and Brother-in-law Cory Loreth.
