Megan Marie Lynch

Megan Lynch, 38, of Grimes, formerly of Spirit Lake passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. In Megan’s untimely passing she was able to give the gift of life to many others in need by being an organ tissue donor. A celebration of life for Megan will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, at Mini-Wakan State Park on the north side of Big Spirit Lake. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family asks that you come dressed comfy and casual, if you wish, you can honor Megan by dressing in something pink as that was her favorite color. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa State. She was united in marriage to Dalston Jones on February 15, 2017, in the Caribbean on the Island of St. Thomas. To this union, their daughter Finley Mae was born. Megan worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer for Wells Fargo Bank. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting and finding old things and making them look new and pretty again, she liked reading and spending time with her friends but most of all her daughter Finley. She loved family gatherings as there was always guaranteed to be a lot of laughs. She also enjoyed spending time at the lakes going boating and taking walks. Megan had a sweet and caring soul; she was witty and funny and could come up with some of the best one liners. She could brighten a room with her beautiful smile. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Finley Mae Jones and her father Dalston Jones of Carlisle, IA; mother Kristi Riley and her significant other Mike Eggers of Estherville, IA and his daughter MacKenzie and Sheila: father Trey Lynch of Texas; sisters Olivia Valdez of Omaha, NE; Madeline Lynch of Nashville, TN; grandparents Wendell and Lou Riley of Spirit Lake; Mary Jo Riley and her significant other Don Laubach of Lakefield, MN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her aunt Cara Riley, uncle Tim Lynch, Grandma Patty Lynch and her brother Sam Steele. Rest in peace our sweet Megan!
