Jacquetta "Jackie" Kline

October 10, 1944 - March 23, 2022

Jacquetta “Jackie” Kline, 77, of Spirit Lake, went to heaven on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones, including her dogs. A celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 2. Visitation will be held from 9:30am to the time of service at the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Jackie was born October 10, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa to Edwin and Charlotte (Streepy) Kline. She worked at the pet store, Underwater Fantasy, for several years. She worked at Kabel’s Trading Post for 25 years. She became a CNA, and her last jobs were care for the elderly at Good Sam and Rosewood care centers in Estherville. In her free time was God’s creation. She loved everything about the outdoors. Gardening, flowers, birds, weather, and every creature from a butterfly to a deer. Living on the acreage was very peaceful for her and being able to see all the wildlife gave her happiness. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Bobbie Dawn, and son Michael Behrends. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Brenda Behrends of Spirit Lake and Angela Podraza & husband Martin of Fonda; significant other for over 40 years, Steve Natvig of Spirit Lake. Sister Ginger Kline of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren Andrew and his wife Amy Podraza of Bondurant, Gabe Podraza of Urbandale, Michael Behrends Jr. of Terril; great grandchildren Lincoln and Leo Podraza of Bondurant along with many cousins, friends, and animals. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given to the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa.
