Laurel Fae Horsman

Laurel Fae Horsman (1931-2020) Laurel Fae Horsman, 89, formerly of Wahpeton and Laurens, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Community Healthcare in Hartley. A private family burial for Fae and her husband, the late Robert Horsman who preceded her in death in 2011, will be held in the Powhatan Cemetery in rural Rolfe, IA. In lieu of cards and memorial gifts the family recommends a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association (act.alz.org). Fae was born on June 7, 1931 to Harold and Helen (Buck) O’Neall in Plover, IA. She was united in marriage to Robert Horsman on August 13, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2011. Fae worked as an accountant doing tax preparation for many years in Laurens and Spirit Lake. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her 5 children: Tim Horsman of Arnolds Park; Michael Horsman of Spirit Lake; Kelly (Tami) Horsman of Milford; Jody (Jerry) Olsen of Alexandria, MN; and Jill (Warren) Peterson of Indianola, IA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grand children; sister Doris (Orville) Mankle of Sergeant, NE; and sister in law Karen O’Neall of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Jim and Dick O’Neall.
