Troylene Cooper

October 23, 1949 - January 7, 2015

Troylene Lenorah was born on October 23, 1949 in Spirit Lake, IA, to William and Elizabeth Flenniken Kramme. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School in 1967 then attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville and graduated with an Associates degree in 1969. She then again graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College in 2000 with an A.S. as a Geographic Information Systems Technician and a Computer Specialist and also graduated in 2001 with an A.S. as a Computer Aided Drafter. She was united in marriage to Michael E. Tuel on August 30, 1969 and was blessed with a daughter Kristie Andrea (Tuel) Wintz. He was in the Navy so they were stationed in Illinois, California, Washington, Idaho and Hawaii. Troy drove a semi for Holiday Express for 13 years and traveled from coast to coast enabling her to have been in all 50 states and also Mexico and Canada. She drove her parents motor home to Alaska so they could see the sites in 1989 and lived in Hawaii for 7 years. She also drove for Golden Limousine for 13 years. She volunteered for the Voluntary Action Center by typing Meals on Wheels labels and making phone calls for Red Cross blood drives since 2009. She also volunteered for the Higgins Museum and created labels for the Iowa money room in 2000 using her talents as a GIS technician. Troylene was active in the local TOPS Chapter for several years and also belonged to the Single Spirits. She also took care of United Methodist Church nursery for the 4 years while she was in high school for the 11:00 am service. Troylene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to most of their activities. She is survived by her daughter, Kristie (Tim) Wintz and three grandchildren; Cody, Brendan and Avery. Her mother, Beth Kramme, a sister JoAnn Bergeson, a brother, Bill Kramme. Also several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William F. Kramme II, brother in law Bernie Bergeson, aunt Troylene Dean and fiancée Michael Struthers. A funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M. Monday, January 12, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in spirit Lake. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 3:00P.M. until 5:00P.M. at the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Troylene's name.
