Betty Parrish

Betty Ann Parrish, 79, of Milford, Iowa formally of Sioux City passed away at her home on October 17, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday Nov 5, 2022, at First Lutheran Church Milford Iowa. Visitation with family present on November 4, 2022, from 5 to 7 at the church. The Robinson Funeral Home, formerly the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com Betty was born on October 16, 1943, to Wesley and Marjorie (Hall) Pas in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Sioux City East High in 1962, and married Francis R Parrish on October 26, 1963. After marriage they lived in Sioux City where she was a stay-at-home mom to their two daughters Amy and Shannon. She was also an in-home daycare provider. In 1982 they moved to the Iowa Great Lakes to work at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a long-time member of Morningside Lutheran in Sioux City and First Lutheran Church of Milford Iowa. During her life she was a youth leader, played Mini Mouse, played the autoharp, and many more talents that she had. She was an exquisite florist. She would decorate for many occasions. Whether it be for camp events, church events or even sometimes weddings. She knew of all the ditches in the area that had Queen Anne’s Lace and she would stop and each of them to use to add to her beautiful arrangements. Betty was an incredible grandmother to her three granddaughters. She loved them and never missed a sporting event. She loved playing cards at the dining room table and never missed a round of the card game golf. Survivors include her husband Fran R Parrish of Milford Iowa, two daughter Amy DuPuis (Brad) of Peachtree City, GA; and Shannon Anderson (Paul) of Milford, Iowa; brother Rick Pas (Cheryl) of Denver, Co; and a sister Lynn Porter of Council Bluffs, Ia. Also survived by her were three granddaughters Cassawndra Parrish, Adreanna Anderson, Mia DuPuis all of Milford, Iowa.
